You must remember me, I'm Ann, All the convicts are hot, stinky, hungry and dying to get out of the hull, we have hardly any air . We have just leaving Portsmouth were and going to Tenerife .We got in Tenerife and one convict tried to escape. The marines just put him back in the cell and I'm in the same cell as him I don't know iz name .Us convicts are not alloud to go out of hull it's stinky in here .When I try to the loo the bucket just moves .Tenreife is warm it's not to hot in Tenerife because the more hot the more pen and ink .

Ello its me Margaret Dawson again,right now i am in Tenerife,the conditions to get here were horrible,this is how it went. I had to spend 21 days on this blooming ship which was crazy stinky.One of the other older convicts said it was 3500km.The conditions on the ship were hot,humid there were dead rodents and lots of storms. I am very crampt because I had to sleep in a small hamock with THREE people but lukily I am in the middle so I won't fall of when the ship sways. Thank goodnes that the weather was sunny for the last week because I haven't eaten properly in FOUR days because we are not given much food in the bad weather wich was most of the way.Athur Pillip wants us to stay alive so we got fresh food a vegies. I hope the rest of the journey will be better!

Hello mate. If you don't remeber I sailed on the Friendship. We're hed'n to Tenerife. You know, it's wores in here then on the streets. There are slops every where! I hate the life in this stupid, stinki'n hulk. I'm shareing a bed with me new mate John Best and William Farely. I have to throw out the stinki'n slops! Arrrrrrrrrhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! What?? Wer're finaly here! Uuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrr. Did I just hear a blumin marine say convicts like us aren't aloud ondeck? "Yes you did." said a marine. It's so pease in a pot in the hulk! Well at least the slops aren't rollen around the stinkin place. I wonder if we'll get any better food? The hulks are me worst enemy. The garuds are terreble to me and me friends. I wish they were more nice to us. I've got friends as rats and other rotends. I just wish I was back in Londen as a wierd person on the streets. Hello I am on me ship, The Scarborour, me fellow convicts are gettin really vicious. I am starting to get annoyed. Now it has been 6 days and a lot of my friends have had a lash of the whip. Some people have been very silly. Some have been doing their biznus on the floor! One person actually started up a pooball fight! I have been trying not to pass out. A lot of time has passed now and the marines have been staring at us poor convicts for a while now. We should be almost at Tenerife by now it has been 20 days now and also a few hours. Now we are docking in Tenerife. good thing we had pretty good weather. Me friend tried to escape but he got caught by a marine. He said it was a great place he wished he lived in Santa Cruz. I wish I saw it. I wanted to see for me self. I asked me mate to tell me all about it but he did not tell. I fewt like throwing a pooball at him but I stopped me self from doing that. It was getting late and I got into me hamock. Then for the first time I found out that some one had dysentry. After kicking a rat out of me hamock I got up and looked around.

G'day me name is James Brown and me am on the Alexdender and we are stopping at Tenerife and soon sleping with bum head next to me and a ladie on the other side it.And we did't get that much food when me was sleeping mr bum head was snoring so loud and me pushed him off and the ladie as well then everyone had a fight.Then the marines came down and said "STOP IT DOWN HERE NOW!!!!" Hello, I'm back, today I'm in Tenerife, that's were I am. I still can't belive there's internet servise out here, I meen it's right on the shoreline of the lovely paradise of Tenerife (even though I don't get to enjoy any of it but the fresh fruits and vegies are to die for!) Anyway the trip has gottan worse! Can you belive it? This yucky, smelly, gross trip has gottan to be as bad as London itself! good thing I have a good captain, or I'd be dead by now (or very ill atleast.) Thank goodness they aren't putting those animals down here with us, it's bad enough down here already! I miss me family, Mumma and Pappa, they always made sure my life was better than theirs. It took sooooooo long to get to Tenerife. I wish this trip will be over soon. By the way if any of you richies that are reading me blog could tell me what day it is tommorrow, that would be bloomin fantastic! well that's it from me catch me next time I get WiFi out here.................bye! :) (yu see that, it looks like a face dosen't it, Ann Parsley taught me how to that last week. We are now on board the ship it has taken us twenty one days with stenth over crowded people but finally we have reached Tenerife. Captian Arthur Phillip has brought down fresh vegables for us to eat. We have just reached land and I would do anything to go up on deck for one second. Me blanket dont help me from freazing to death and I am squished with around 1500 people on only 11 ships. Being stuck down in the hulks is not a nice feeling and me brass bands are freazing cold. I wish me had not taken those clothes I could be home with me family brass bands and bacon and eggs would be by the fire. stuck down here for a week with no light exept for the sun coming through the hatch. No fresh air or room to even strech. Its been seven days and were about to set sail next stop Rio de Janario.

Ello! im Ann Beardsley im a convict at the age of 21. I stole some clothes.I know! I know! I don't adam and eve (beleive) it either but ats the way it tis. Right know im on a big nanny goat (boat) they call the Hulk on me way to Tenerife.Its horrible im cream crackered (knackered) because of all the horrible conditions like there's rats everywhere,its stinky,its steamin' and I have to share me bed with three other convicts. Its so unsanitary! I've made a friend or two but at doesn't make it any better.We're barely ever let above on deck only if we have to throw out the slops or a bit of daily exercise.They said it'll take about one more day if we're lucky, I can't even remeber how long i've been here. I just hope it goes well.

hey me name is sarah I am now at the Canry Islands and the ship still smells and I am super hungy and I want to sleep but there are to many people fighting and its really noisy, me mate Mia said the rich people a of at the island to get some fresh friut looking forwed to it I havent eaten in 5 days . they better hury up cuse when Iam hungy I get in a bad mood lucky I only have 2 days to wait aparintly we are only here for a week it feel like ages but the boat is stoped so I am not getting sea sick . I also need to go to the tolit but I can't find one they uesed to be some everywere they must have bean knocked overbord last night in the big storm if I knew that it would be this bad me

Ello its me Sarah Bellamy again, I am curantly in Tenerife it was a pretty rough jouney here. This is how it went. We left England abaot 21 days ago the ship stunk like you wouldn't Adam and Eve it. Joshua "the smart convict"said that the trip to Tenerife was 3500km long. The conditions on the way were terible including stormy weather,roten food,dead rodents,the only light was the hatch on the roof,poo every where and it was sooo stinky and hot. I hate sharing a hamok I am in the middle if three people but I cant conplain becos atleast I wont fall off the hamok when the ship wobbles.We finaly got good weather on the last three days but I am still very tied.We finaly reached Tenerife and stayed there for one week.

G'day me names Phebe. I've been on this here ship for two weeks and let me tell yu it's not as pretty as yu might think it was. There are bugs in the food (it isn't top notch either), the beds are hammocks and the toilet is everywhere yu look. And don't get me started on the rats. I'm on this stinky ship 'cause I couldn't help myself but to take a pair of pants and a velvet jacket worth 30 shillings but I got caught, so now I'm on this dump, but I should save my complaints for the captain. Me partner was Ann Parsley but surely you've read her blog already! I'm on the Prince of Wales just in case yu were wondering, well got to go time for exercise and beleive me yu don't want to miss out on that, after those 25 lashes I'm feeling a little sore but I'll be fine. Bye :)

Hallo me name John Ward. The reason I'm hopping on this stinking ship is a year ago I stole some thing I don't even now a much it was worth Tried asking the judge he just said who really cares. Also I don't even now what it was the runners court me before I could see what me got. I got trialled by some stupid judge in Louth,Lincolnshire on July the 11TH. He said your getting transportation for 7 years. Me felt sad at first but then i realised that I would be able to start a new life. One year later here I am at the docks boarding me ship the Alexander. Me heard it's the biggest ship.

Hello me name is Catherine Jonson I am 17. I am waiting to get on the Prince of Wales at Portsmouth. The reason why I'm getting transported is because I stole 60 shillin's , oh i still remember the words that the old judge said " she shall be sent for transportation for seven years." I was tried at the Old Bailey I fell quite stupid for stealing 60 shillin's. Me dress is all damp and cold because me old job was to work as a mudlarck. The reason why I'm getting transported is because I stole 60 shillin's , oh i still remember the words that the old judge said " she shall be sent for transportation for seven years." I was tried at the Old Bailey I fell quite stupid for stealing 60 shillin's. Me dress is all damp and cold because me old job was to work as a mudlarck. Oh I just wish I could go back to the old days were well most of my life was perfect.n

Me ship is the Prince of Wales. Me age is 20 but even tho I'm 20 I'm nervous about this journey to the unknown land Australia. I wonder if I will make some mates on the journey Ma told me that on ships like the hulks it is easy to get sea sick and there's about 736 ,1500 people all together but that's with all Marines , Sailors and offices coming along the journey all squished on 11 boats . But me mate Jimmy says that the Marines, Offices and sailors are all on top of the ships and we convicts are all squished up down the bottom with no fresh air and slops every where. The smells and squished people around the bottom of the big hulks not many windows and water splashing on you at night on nothing but hammocks of rope. I am waiting for the boat to take us to the hulks got to go.

- My name is John Hudson. I'm thirteen years old. I was sentenced to transportation on the hulks 4 years ago. I stole 22 shillin's. I would do anything to take that day back when I stole them shillin's. All I can do is look forward to this sailing trip which will bring us to this strange new land. Hopefully it will mean a better life for all of us. Maybe I could get me old job back as a chimney sweep! I'd love that. It's so busy here at the moment in Portsmouth. Everyone's running around here and there, and we've been helping to load the ship with all the supplies. I'm sailing on the Friendship. Me mate Jimmy says that it could take us four months to get to this new place called Australia. That's a really long time!! Hopefully it's warmer there than it is here. Me trousers have holes in them and my gloves do too. I'm freezing! I hope God looks after us on our long journey and brings hope for all us in this new land.
